In 1996, Obama learned how to take the election for the Illinois 13th District State Senate seat: Eliminate the competition. He had the incumbent senator and two other candidates removed from the ballot through legal subterfuge It worked really well. He got elected without ever having to show his anger-soaked, socialist core beliefs.
Now that he is President of the United States, he is showing his true colors. It had to happen eventually, but he wasted no time doing it. He has enacted a socialist agenda that will stimulate the US government, but little else. He has launched a blitzkrieg of spending that dwarfs anything previous administrations have tried. (He criticized the Bush administration for doubling the national debt in eight years, and in doing so, distracted the public from seeing that he has done the same thing in less than eight weeks.)
But is that enough? No. Obama still has competition to deal with. It's nothing so easy to deal with as a flawed, human opponent, however. It is an idea. It is a way of life. It is the American Way. Obama knows that as long as Americans can realize their dreams without the help of government, there is a chance his policies would fail. Yes, dreadfully, this country could go back to the days of personal responsibility and prosperity. The government would be nothing more than a necessary evil, and not the all-powerful controller he wants it to be.
So what does he do? He makes a two-pronged attack. He forces his policies through with the help of his willing sycophants in the Congress and the liberal media. We all know about that already, but it's the underlying attack that is most dangerous. He is burning all the bridges that America crossed on its way to greatness. He knows that when this country is neck deep in another Depression because of his policies, its people will want to go back to the way things were. He will not allow us to go back. The government must remain in control, and maybe if he gets his way, he can remain president forever (Props to Hugo Chavez, despot for life in Venezuela, for giving him that idea).
When the stock market is in a downward spiral, Obama is strangely unconcerned. His administration laughs off criticisms made by Rick Santelli and many others. Why is this? He is trying to destroy capitalism. He is trying to destroy freedom. If there's one thing Obama can't stand, it's competition. These are the things he is competing against (Don't forget about talk radio. He sees them as competition, too. Let's see how fast the so-called 'Fairness Doctrine' makes a comeback)
And yes, he is trying to destroy Hope. It's ironic that the one theme he campaigned on is the thing that will be his undoing. It is time for Americans to see that we still have hope of turning things around, if we are willing to take personal responsibility for it and work for it. It is time for America to utterly reject the same socialism that doomed the Soviet Union to an early grave. It is time to reject the evil (yes, I said evil) socialist policies of the Obama administration. For the good of our children. For the good of our country. For the good of our world.
